Assistant Principal Bio

Mrs. Kori Medd - meddk@wcschools.com

Kori Medd serves as the assistant principal at LaGuardo Elementary School. She graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor’s degree in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies and later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, along with an add-on endorsement in Administration, from Carson-Newman University.

She began her teaching career in 2004 in Tennessee, spent several years teaching in Virginia, and then returned home to Tennessee in 2015 to join Wilson County Schools. In 2019, she became part of the leadership team at Lakeview Elementary and was named assistant principal in 2020. In 2025, she proudly took on her current role as assistant principal for LaGuardo Elementary and couldn’t be happier to call herself a Captain.

Outside of school, Kori enjoys spending time with her husband and four adult children. She loves life on the farm, taking the RV out camping, hiking, and family game nights.
