Dear Parents/Legal Guardians of LaGuardo (25-26) Students,

Welcome Aboard, Captains! This message is for any families zoned for LaGuardo for the 25-26 school year and have a kindergarten student (or other NEW, not currently enrolled, student) to register. 

Registration for all returning students, including those currently at West or another WCS school who will be attending LGE next year, will complete their registration in July. Returning Student Registration Opens July 8th. Additional registration information may be found here.

LaGuardo Elementary’s New Student Pre-Enrollment & Document Drop Off for the 2025-2026 school year will occur from March 31st through April 11th.  We encourage parents to complete the online pre-enrollment and download all required documentation on a laptop or desktop computer (please do not use your cell phone).  However, if you need to drop off documents, you will be able to do this at West Elementary School. If you need to use a school computer to complete your online pre-enrollment, or if you have any registration questions, you may contact Gina Winfree (interim registrar) at 615-758-5619, extension 5001.

Kindergarten/New Student Specific Information

The following items are necessary to enroll a NEW student (including kindergarten) in Wilson County Schools:

• Copy of Certified Birth Certificate (Required before the first day of school). The mother's copy is not acceptable.
• Two current proofs of residency are dated within the last 30 days of pre-enrollment and again in July (these must be in the custodial parent/legal guardian's name).
  • Acceptable Proofs of Residency (proofs can not be older than 30 days before enrollment):
    • TN Driver's License or Photo I.D. with current address
    • Mortgage/Lease Statement for current address
    • Current Public Utility Bill such as water, gas, electric or landline phone bill (cell phone bill not accepted)
    • Motor vehicle registration with current address
    • Current employment record (Example: most recent check stub/direct deposit with home address)
    • Voter's Registration Card
    • Documentation from TN Department of Human/Children's Services for benefits with current address
• Photo ID of parent/legal guardian (driver's license).
• All Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Homeschooled, and Transferring students from out of state must have an up-to-date immunization record and a physical dated within a year of the student's school start date.  
  • Families can schedule appointments through the Local Health Department in Lebanon at 615-444-5325.  
  • Students must be five on or before August 15th to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.
    • We understand that your child may not be 5 years of age during pre-enrollment until closer to the start of school. 
    • If this is the case, you must bring the immunization & physical before the first day of school. Custody papers/parenting plan are required if applicable (must include full document including the signature page).
